Disater or Miracle?!?!?!?! Did they make the right choices?

The actors have been officially cast for the major roles of Peeta and Gale. Word is out that Liam Hemsworth is going to be playing Gale and Josh Hutcherson is set to play Peeta.

             

Now while some fans are on the fence about their choice for Peeta it's not a total disaster situation. I mean come on! You make his brown hair blond and add in some blue contacts and Hutcherson fits the part, appearance wise fairly well, and his acting is already good enough to go in my opinion.

With Liam Hemsworth there's little to change. He's got the right looks and can pull off the brooding guy act ,seeming off limits and  dangerous with his illegal hunting.  All in all we believe Liam is a shoe-in. The most you would have to do is possibly make his hair a little darker.

So now the suspense is over and you now have your future hunger games hotties! Do you like... or do you think the casting director made the biggest mistake ever?! We want to know what you think!

BLOG ALERT!!!!!!!! PERFECT PEETA!!!!

A new ..... tribute in a way, has come to our attention as the PERFECT Peeta! Max Irons , who recently played Henry in the new movie 'Red Riding Hood' ,has the looks, the skill, and the freshly tapped talent to play the head-over-heels in love, sweet, and smart male tribute of district 12!

   It's just our opinion, but we think he's perfect and we would love to know if you agree!                 

The web is a- buzz with all the roomers and discussion about who will play the big roles in 'The Hunger Games' movie. As we all now know  Jennifer Lawrence  has been cast as the lead role of Katniss, but so far no other roles have been locked down.

Liem Hemsworth

   The main issue at hand is getting the perfect actors for the male leads of Peeta and Gale. Guys like Alex Pettyfer, Hunter Parrish, and Josh Hutcherson are being discussed as potential actors for the role of Peeta. Fans seem to be about equally split on all these roles and would be ok with any of them as Peeta but in my opinion it's a very close fight between Hunter and Alex... but according to MTV.comhttp://hollywoodcrush.mtv.com/2011/03/23/peeta-hunger-games/ some say Alex may fit better as Finnick in 'The Hunger Games' sequal 'Catching Fire'.

  On the flip side actors like Liam Hemsworth, Drew Roy, and Robbie Amell are also under disscusion for the role of Gale, with Hemsworth as one of the top picks.

 So who do you think would fit the big heart-throb roles of Peeta and Gale?

Peeta tells all!!!

Peeta sighs. "Well there is this one girl. I've had a crush on her ever since i can remember. But i'm pretty sure she didn't even know I was alive until the reaping."
  Sounds of sympathy from the corwd. Unrequited love they can relate to.
  "She have another fellow?"asks Caesar.
  "I don't know, but a lot of boys like her," says Peeta.
  "So here's what you do. You win, you go home. She can't turn you down then, eh?" says Caesar encouragingly.
  "I don't think it's going to work out. Winning... won't help in my case," says Peeta.
  "Why ever not?" says Caesar mystified.
  Peeta blushes beet red and stammers out. "Because... because... she came here with me."

This has got to be one of my favorite parts in the entire book! I have read The HungerGames  a few times, and no mater if it's the 1st or the 11th time this part still makes my heart race and goose bumps pop up on my arms!
   It's like you just know who he's talking about , even before the last sentence but you keep waiting to hear it and when you do....... it's just.... so awesome! I want to give a little girl screech!

     Word has spread through the Capital that the tribute Katniss Everden will be played by none other than Oscar nominee Jennifer Lawrence (Winter's bone).  The director Gary Ross says that when he saw the movie Winter's bone he thought she was phenomenally talented and the right age to play one Katniss Everdeen. Main character in world famous series The Hunger Games she will defiantly have large shoes to fill.

      MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOR JENNIFER!!

So one of the hardest roles i believe Gary Ross will have to cast other than Katniss is Peeta. The handsome, sweet, strong guy who would do anything for Katniss.Here are some of our top choices!

Page of the week

This is something new i wanted to start to show that this site is not just all about the up and coming movie.
    So this weeks page is Pg. 181- 182 Ch.13.
   In this part I literaly laughed out loud! Katinss is so Smart and cunning but at the same time, when she's hiding in a tree from possible death... she STILL manages to be funny and to me, a little cocky.
   So here ya go! This is my page of the week! Hope you like it and if you want to share one of your favorite pages feel free. We would love to hear it!

I must weigh at least fifty or sixty pounds less than the smallest Career.
      
   Now I smile. "How's everything with you?" I call down Cheerfully.
       This takes them aback, but i know the crowd will love it.
    "Well enough", says the boy from District 2. "Yourself?"
    "It's been a bit warm for my taste," I say. I can almost hear the laughter from  the Capital. "The air's better up here. Why don't you come up?"
      "Think I will," says the same boy.

 So the boy ends up getting part way up the tree then falling , as does every one after him because there all to big so they decide to wait her out and sleep at the bottom of the tree.
  I won't continue for those of you who have just started the book so you can see for yourself what happens next........

Music!!!

OK, so we can't figure out the music player thing so we're just going to post the music we think should be in the movie. And PLEASE tell us what you think and if there are any other songs we should add.

I Know there are a lot more songs that would be good for this movie, so it would be really cool if you would recommend some.

He is directing it!

It's been offical for awhile now that Gary Ross is going to be directing "The Hunger Games" movie.
  He Produced the screenplay for one of my all time favorites "Big"  and wrote, directed, and produced "Seabiscuit"  the movie. Both of these were nominated for Academy Award's!

   Just speaking for myself but i trust that he will make this movie the best it can be!

Will she be Effie?

Some are rooting for Kristin Chenoweth to play the scattered and excentric Effie Trinket. Effie with her strangly possotive and always perkey attitude, coloroful hair and funny comments may be the perfect role for the tallented and funny Kristin.

Ok... so just because this site is called The Capital does NOT mean we support the Capital in the hunger games trilogy! We do not! but we thought it was a cool name so there ya go!
   We started this blog because of a plain and simple fact. We love the hunger games!
